A note from Mona

Our last trip was in June to Thomazeau, which is about 3 hours
from the capital of Haiti.  We were able to give a lot of food to the hungry.  Thomcazeau is a small isolated village, where it is impossible to travel due to bad roadways.  But we made it with the power of God.
Most of  people were very happy, but a few were fighting
thinking that there will not be enough food for everyone.
We had the chance to feed everyone in line.
The picture with the man without shirt is example of someone who did
not bring any bag to put his food so he took off his  shirt to put his rice.
I would like to thank everyone for their participation, it is really
appreciated.  This is the first time I traveled to Haiti without spending my own money, except for my airline ticket.   I would like to say a special thank you to Pastor Keitt at Dauphin street Baptist Church and his members for their generous contributions toward the trip,  Dr. Robert Lipshutz in Ventnor, N.J. and Dr. Joseph Pierre in St. Albans, N.Y. for  medications and
instruction donations.
Special thanks to Mrs Bernadette Perna the D.O.N. at Seashore Gardens
for her donations.  And thanks to Mr. Ray Adler for maintaining
the website as a donation to the charity center.

My first trip to Haiti was an unforgettable experience.
The welcome from these people was extraordinary.
We were able to give free physical exams and medications to 255 people.
Most of them walked up to 4 hours to see us.
We gave medications to prevent parasites due to the
rain water they are drinking,
We provided cold medications to a lot of children that came with various symptoms. Antibiotics, ulcer medications and different types of
vitamins were administered.
We had the opportunity to share with them our idea, consequently,
half of acre of land was donated . We plan to build a medical clinic,
a school and a cistern to keep potable water.
Our  next trip which will be in the Spring to distribute
clothes, food and medications.
As stated in the bible “it is more blessed to give than to receive”.
I would like to thank everyone that helped in this trip,
Specially my friend Mrs. Barbara Adler who contacted her
children to help Haiti. Thanks to  Mrs. Sandi Taub, Wendy Author
and the Natural Helpers Club.  Who gathered the youth in Egg harbor
township High School and held a clothing drive to help.
May God bless these students.
Thanks  Mrs. Bernadette Perna .D.O.N. ,  Mrs. Cindy Tyree and
the  staff at Seashore Gardens for their support.
Sincerely,
Mona Momplaisir

Mona was born in Haiti and moved to the United States
when she was young. Upon visiting family in Haiti,
Mona was moved by the poverty of her homeland.
Inspired to return, she and her partners created the
